Yes! It was really cool, I wish I had gotten more pictures of it. I believe it is a Polo that has had it's doors removed and roof chopped off and some pieces riveted in to make a modern dune buggy.
Does anyone know any more about this thing?

I’ve seen this one before. I saw this last Saturday at the local flea market. As I was taking these pics rain was starting to fall. This bus has active rust everywhere. I doubt the owner is going to do a proper restoration to address the tin worm. Looking close the corrosion is working at all the seams, it would be a massive undertaking even at this point.

That isn't a Polo. It looks like it is a Gol, that could be somewhat mistaken with a Fox. In any case, that is a product from VW Brazil. It is all logical that it looks like a Polo or Fox because it is a ... Volkswagen!
All that bodywork build done to it is nice! |

It was a nice surprise to catch up with the owners of this bus today in Jasper, Alberta. I don't get to see many vintage VW's around here, so this made my day.

Traveling from Texas to SoCal to visit my 89yr old mother, driving through Whittier, CA I spotted this 1964 patina sunroof bug. Very cool! (sorry I couldn't snap a better pic - if you know the area, traffic is always horrendous!)

In Holbrook, AZ at the Wigwam Motel (while passing by - not staying!). Saw this camper-bug. Had to snap some photos.
