|

Hi! I’m in the process of taking out my cargo floors to enable some structural repairs. I need to do rocker supports, outrigger/Jack points, and the front top hat (with lots more around the rest of the bus!).
If I cut the rocker supports out in this state, is it recommended to brace the middle of the bus to avoid twist? I’ve seen several videos of splittys torn down to that point with no bracing, but never really bays. I would do it as a precaution but am afraid of ruining my access too.
What’s the prevailing wisdom on this? Thanks in advance!

We cut up and repair our rusty squarebacks with NO bracing.
Just do it 1 section at a time. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

Thanks Mike! I looked back at the Haynes Transporter restoration manual and he doesn’t use any bracing either. I should be good to go! |
