Hi guys,
Just wondering if it was at all possible to weld in a sunroof roof section from a 1968 beetle into a 1972 1302s?, i really don't kow if the dimensions changed or roof shap changed that much, i have been looking for a sunroof car to buy and the only one i can find is a heavily rusted 68/67 that is beyond resto. _________________ 71 1302s

I know a guy who recently welded a metal factory sunroof in his 67. He said its about the same work as putting in a ragtop. _________________ GFK

I would have really liked to save the 67/68 sunroof but unfourtunatley the owner has left the car sitting in about a foot of muddy muck for ages and its all rust up 6 inches of the side - also the metal sunroof will require a lot of refabricating and welding, im not opposed to hard work, just want to feel the wind in my hair. _________________ 71 1302s
