I'm currently sourcing 4.37 transaxles due to some great input on this page so now I'd like to see what people have to say about the upcoming 17xx engine.

Mild Baja with 29" tires in back.
74mm balanced crank.
110 cam
bigger valve head, not monsters, just whatever was bigger than stock (that means I can't remember).

I currently have dual cannons (yes, I know), and an EMPI Progressive 32/26F. It has been fun for farting around, but now that the "big" engine is coming I want to get a propper carb/exhaust setup. I'm not concerned about it being loud, either.

Stinger?? 40 IDF? DUAL 40 IDF's? Ah heck, let's go NO2 with some bigger rubber bands!

Seriously tho... curious as to what would be a good setup. I was initially thinking about putting the Weber 32/36 on since I already have the better manifold, not the progressive one.

Thanks in advance.

Dual IDF clones, and maybe an additional brace between the carbs/intakes to keep them solid.

My recommendation would be 36 or 40 Dell's, they are nice and smooth operating carburetors, another option 40 IDF, that engine would really like a dual setup.

I have a 1904 with a 110ish cam, unported 40x35.5 heads, 9.3:1 compression and dual 40mm carbs. Great running engine. Ditch the progressive and never look back

Gears that steep, could save money keep the intake and bolt on a 38 egas carb; But really for a 17xx and 9.3 compression, any exhaust and carb/intake that can flow ~130cfm will work
