Hi all!

One of my friends is considering to install 1302/1303 (superbeetle) cylinders and pads in his 65 beetle.

Has anyone done this?

Nobody? Maybe is not a good idea but the target was to improve the performance…he is telling me that is not plug and play and needs to adapt those components..

If I were to make that big a change in front brakes I'd consider a well-made disc brake conversion instead.

Super front brakes are both larger in diameter and wider than stock '65 brakes, so the shoes will not physically fit inside wide five drums. Similarly, the wheel cylinders are designed with a different offset from the backing plate to account for the wider shoes.
