I only ask this because I need to get my 79 year old mom to take a pic of the VIN on a 1968 bus. I live 900 miles away and can't do it. |

There should also be one in the engine room on the body sheet metal near the battery.

Not on a 68, that didn't begin until 70.

Thanks, that helps big time. Essentially the one on the right side of it. That will be easy. Amazingly, to get a title transfer, I can just use a pencil tracing of it and thus it's legal. If not I have to be there, take a pic, sign my name and my PA inspection license to make it legal. Thus, she will make a pencil trace and then send it to me (just sounds so old school but it's legal).
I blew out my ACL skiing in VT, thus now have time to figure things out before the 900 mile trip back with it. |
