On the EMPI Full Flow Oil Pump with the oil filter mount, there is a Black-Allen Head set screw, or similar. It LOOKS like I could pull this out and put an oil temp sensor in there. Has anyone done that or messed with that screw? Anyone know it's purpose?

That'ss a pressure relief bypass. If the filter is very clogged or the oil overly thick (cold weather) and has really high pressure on the INLET side of the filter, pressure can push this check valve open and some oil bypass the filter.
This is NOT a place to install a temp sensor. _________________ www.LoCashRacing.org

As Jim Carey would say... "Well... OK, THEN!"
