Looks like more "news" fear mongering to generate clicks and views. How would the razor blades even stay connected to the handle? Looks like bs to me.

My depth perception is excellent and that rusty blade in the photo is clearly underneath the handle. The only way it could be attached would be with an adhesive. The photo was staged since the article says the blades were "inside" the pump handles.

Once I drove up to NYC from Raleigh. When I left the city, I went over to NJ. Pulled into a gas station, got out, and went to fill up. Their heads almost exploded lol. I had no idea you were not allowed to pump your own gas.

Having been born and spending my early childhood in New Jersey, its not surprising that you can't pump your own gas. Its a pretty tough job.

I grew up in CA/HI. When I moved to Oregon in 94. It drove me F’ing crazy not able to pump my gas. It took me one wet Fall, Winter, and Spring to appreciate sitting in my car waiting for gas. It’s so great. However when I drive the vintage VWs, I pump it. They loosened up pumping your own gas laws during Covid.

That's probably a good thing. Last thing you want is for some 16 yr old pump jocky creasing your hood trying to slam it closed too fast.

Many years ago a bunch of us Noo Yawkas pulled into a gas station in northern Jersey on our bikes to fill up.

An attendant came out. We all looked at him, nozzles in hand, and filled up, ourselves. He stood in the vicinity looking supervisory.

When I go to the gas station on my bike. I just hand the attendant my Jerry can. I don’t want to deal with that mess. Very Happy
