Was told a size 45mm socket is what I needed. It’s to small. Also a 1 3/4 “ is to small. Help please! _________________ Ain’t nothing to it but to do it! |

Just went through this. As Glenn stated, it's a 46mm, which no one local to me carried so had to order.
Alternatively, a 1 13/16" socket is the same size, and you'll most likely be able to find one of those at a Menards/Home Depot in 3/4" drive. 'Murcah is annoyingly easy to find, whereas metric is not. _________________ 1977 VW Type 2 Bay Window Westy FI |

the EMPI brand axle nut whacker is really nice.
Just a crude hoop with a 46mm six-sided hole in it, provision for a 1/2" breaker or massive ratchet, + surface for adding hammer/maul power so nothing stands in your way. Confidence inspiring. |

Yes a minimum of 360 ft*lbs while the maximum potential torque will not increase as the Vanagon nut has more castellations in it. |

More Castellantions means more slots? |
