Anyone know what type of fuel pump this is?? It needs a new gasket and fuel screen. The guys at Wolfsburg didn’t recognize it. Anyone know? It’s in my 64 bus with single port 1500. Could this fuel pump come from a bug??

Take the steel dome top off and snap a picture of the screen. A lot of the aftermarket dome top fuel pumps copied the Pierburg version.

I may have a used version of that fuel pump. I can check to see if it has a good screen but want to see a picture of the screen in yours first.

BCD - Made in Italy. They are still in business here: http://www.bcdcorona.it/index_en.htm

In fact, BCD is still making mechanical pumps for our old VW's
They are being sold under the BCD and Pierburg brand names, and perhaps others.
Here's a post I made about one I got not too long ago. It has not yet been installed, so I can't say much about actual performance:

My single cab had one of these pumps on it when I got it. Same dome, same BCD brand. I rebuilt it with a kit from Wolfsburg West intended for Pierburg pumps. It worked fine. This was about 10 years ago. I kept the pump because I thought it was cool to have one that is a little different.
