|
|
So I was mucking around with the pedal adjustment on my bug and the clutch pedal fell all the way to the floor meaning the cable came of the hook. After some fiddling I got the cable back on the hook and bolted everything up andddd the clutch doesn’t work now. I start the car but when I push the clutch pedal In I can’t shift into gear, any ideas??? |

If someone pushes down the pedal do you see the other end move? If yes cable is connected and you might just need to do a clutch freeplay adjustment. _________________ -----Slava Ukraini-----

This.
And could be broken clutch hook, broken clutch pedal, stretched cable.......

I just tested and yes it does move so it must just need adjusting. I don’t see how it coming of the hook and being reinstalled straight away means it needs adjusting tho |

Check that the Bowden tube is installed correctly. Maybe with all the slack out, it got out of position and affected your clutch adjustment a bunch? It has to slide into the tunnel fitting a little. |
