can anyone help with glove box door install.are the hinges screwed through the trim into the dash or some how only attached to the trim which would be very flimsy. photos or how to will be much appreciated.

depends on which type of doors you have, I have a set of perohaus doors on my Beetle , no drilling / screwing required
they clip onto the steel around the glovebox hole not the aluminum trim its self

The type with the key lock and the round horn grills are riveted onto the aluminum glove box trim and then the trim is installed as normal.

yes i have the hand made repos from germany that have a hinge and spring that needs to be assembled, does the spring act to snap the door back up to the close position, yes they have the grill holes in them. having one pain of time to get the hinge pin in place holes to small out of round you name it then one side of hinge thats attached to the lid comes of. looks like it was glued on. joy. will clean mess and spot weld it to lid. Repo fun. thanks for the help
