Here's what I got.
I did a "Security Exception" that allowed me back on. Only thing I could lose is my password and wouldn't we know if suddenly there were aberrations? |

The error message posted earlier said that the certificate signing authority is not trusted by the user’s browser. The relevant root certificate was released in June 2016. It could be that the user’s Android device is old enough that it does not have that root certificate in its trust store. If that is the case, then that version of android will likely be out of support and unable to be updated to solve the problem. The only fix will be for the user to use a newer device to browse the samba.
There is no problem for newer devices. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle |

My desktop PC, that works, is a Win7 model running Chrome ( no updates available anymore for it). The Tablet that does not work, is only 2 years old. |

Interesting. All I can say is the browser has to have a copy of that root certificate in order to trust the “samba” certificate. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle |

Uh... might not be just theSamba.
I tried to logon to my CitiBank account and getting this problem with Edge, Chrome and Firefox on a Windows 11 Pro desktop.
Both Chrome and Firefox get the error on my Android Samsung prone.
The Android app work. |
CitiBank is fixed, so it is fixable. _________________ Glenn

I’m getting an ‘Access denied due to bad server certificate’ on my work desktop. Just started a few days ago. Chrome or Edge browsers. Not getting the warning on my phone that is connected to the Wi-Fi at the same site. |

Is it just a Windows thing?
I have been logging on every day on a Mac and have no issues. First I heard of this being an issue was when the issue was posted here on the 58-67 Forum.
Now I may be a troglodyte when it comes to programming differences between Windows and Mac so shoot me down if I am an idiot and it doesn't apply to Mac based devices. _________________ 1968 1500 RHD Lotus White Beetle since birth. In the hospital for major surgery

I went on a computer that allowed me in with the certificate. I clicked on the certificate and got this:
Certificate: thesamba.com
Issued by: GTS CA 2P2
Trust. : When using this certificate: Use System Defaults
Organization: Google Trust Services LLC
Serial Number: 61 DF 44 FB 72 05 98 3D 11 3F D5 2E E9 6C 7F E5
Not Valid Before: Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 6:29:36 PM Pacific Daylight Time
Not Valid After : Friday, August 11, 2023 at 6:29:35 PM Pacific Daylight Time
Isn't May 13th night (PDT) when this all started? |
