Howdy
using a tow bar that mounts on the lower front torsion bar housing of a 1974 Karmann Ghia. Do we have to tie the steering wheel or let it be unlocked.

Oh you can back up if you absolutely have to, but you really shouldn't. I do agree it's best to avoid needing to do so.

| Yeah you can and it’s kinda fun to watch like at the boat ramp on a busy day. Heck, just stick a buddy back there in a jam or hop out and straighten the wheel until you’ve gone far enough. |

The Eurovan has the stock 2.5L inline 5 gas, no towing with it.
The mighty TOW'D has twin Isuzu Turbo Diesels and a strong tow post and has a done many serious towing job$
