Might anyone know what the orientation should be for the cancellation ring at the bottom of the steering wheel on a 1970 Beetle/Ghia?

It has three mounting holes for the tiny screws so it can probably go on in three different positions, wondering which one is correct.

Thanks—

The tab should be located at three o'clock when the steering wheel is installed.

Just did mine yesterday. 3pm it is. Make sure the turn over is in the center when installing the horn ring or you’ll break off the ridiculously delicate return tab.
