ACU motor. Is there supposed to be a washer on the bolt that fastens the balance to the crank?
Replacing my crank seal and didn't see one

I'm not sure about the ACU but VW added a thin diamond washer *between* the crank and balancer on later engines like the ACV to add more friction. I put one on my AAB since the bolt loosened and figured it couldn't hurt.
