My Ghia is leaking brake fluid out of the end of the Master cylinder. Filling the space between the firewall and the inside wall of the car. Are there any sources for a repair kit?

Or does anyone have a part number for a new old stock Master cylinder for a 1968 Ghia convertible?

The MC fits the floor pan, convertible doesn't matter. It will fit coupes too. Quick search found this. or use the part # listed to find it elsewhere

most of the original master cylinders on our cars were ATE but these are hard to find. I also like Varga
Nobody much rebuilds master cylinders as kits are hard to find and often the cylinder is rusted meaning it needs to be bored and sleeved before it can be rebuilt. It is much cheaper to buy a new one
Cip1 have 2 European made ones that I would hope would be good quality:

We've ordered a new Brake master cylinder and 2 switches that have 3 wires. Compared to what is on there has 3 switches that each have 2 wires. How do we know which wires from the old one will go onto the new switches so everything works. Is there a comparison diagram somewhere?

The third switch in the weird place on your original master cylinder activates the brake warning light on the dash. You should be able to trace it back from the indicator to that switch.
On the new switches , the middle prong will activate that circuit so you will have to splice in another length of wire in parallel to connect both new switches.

Don’t be surprised if the new chinesium switches light up the warning light when you apply the brakes. It happened to me and I’ve read here that it’s fairly common. Since I didn’t want to go through the process again to change them I just learned to like it. Now I just look at it as a visual representation that my brake lights turn on.
