|

I have Mahle Gas Burner wheels (914.361.015.00) for my 72 VW and billet aluminum center caps from ISP West (GA-CAP914).
How are these caps mounted on the wheels? It seems they just go in by pressure much like the front hub dust caps. Will the caps stay put and not fall off?.
I have done some measuring and it looks like the caps are not tall enough to clear the rear stub axle nor the front hub dust covers.
Any feedback and advise will be greatly appreciated. _________________ 72 Beetle, Model 113-841 |

My Gas Burners aren’t Mahle and I too needed deeper caps.
I found these at CIP1:
https://www2.cip1.com/c13-10-1107/
They are secured from the backside with recessed Allen bolts.
Measure your opening to see what diameter you need. _________________ Volkswagen!

Jeffrey, thanks for the information. My wheels are original Mahle Gas Burner (914.361.015.00) and the center cap hole is 60 mm. Unfortunately the CIP1 caps are for a 70 mm center cap hole. Checked all the caps on CIP1's catalog and I could not find any for a 60 mm hole.
Any info about other possible sources will be greatly appreciated. _________________ 72 Beetle, Model 113-841 |
