Just shot the 79 Westy jade green today. It looks sweet. What's the best way to fix three small runs? It's still masked and we have lots of paint, but it seems like a little much to repaint to cure a 2" run.

I beleive that Eastwood sells a small razor plane that is used to shave off a hair off the top of the run at a time. I am sure that any auto paint place should know about them. Are you planning to colorsand?

If you don't have an auto paint store close by, just use a regular razor blade. Just make sure it is sharp and that you are careful. Once you get it close, just wet sand the rest of the way. This has worked for me everytime I have painted a car.

Thanks guys. I have a small razor plane which I have never used. I'll give it a try. No, I hadn't planned to colorsand. The finish as sprayed looks great.

I used PPG acrylic enamel, 8/6/1. This is the first car I have painted since I painted several about 30 years ago. This paint worked well. Long pot life, blended well and went a long way using a hvlp gun, which was new to me. It took far less paint than planned, propably due to the gun

I just shot my 69's engine compartment with Centari acrylic enamel 8/1/2. I don't have a HVLP sprayer and ended up using more paint than I thought I would.... most likely because of the gun! Nice paint though.
