1950 November engine block Aluminum?

I have a engine block manufactured in November 1950.
Is this one of the old aluminum blocks?
How long did they manufacture these?

Are these more valuable?

yes 50 was still aluminum(remelt alloy) the change to magnesium (electron)
happened jan. 19 1951. the weight difference is noticeable. Sure they are worth more.
