It's nice and impressive to see just how little of the original metal you're replacing on this bus.
Are you going to strip that driverside door to see if there's still some Dove Blue left under the red paint? |

Kristián, I have the same problem, the remains of the panels under the battery were one whole, I didn't know until now, thanks to you. Ivan |

It's not possible for every part, i thinking every day what i should donwith the roof...
That doorbis sadly red over the original grey filler, maybe i sand the red off and use it grey, i don't know now.

When I first saw the pictures I wondered about the roof too. It looks very rusted on both sides, probably because of the water collecting in the huge dent for a long time. Maybe the most important part, the front section above the cabin, can be saved? It seems a bit better and less rusty, but it's hard to see on the photos. I guess it might be easier and more realistic to find suitable donor or repair pieces for the rest of the roof.
Maybe a more suitable and useable blue door will come your way during the time you're working on the bus, who knows? |

There are no big rust holes in the roof, that homes are from lifting the car I tink.

Ah okay, alles klar. The rust is not the (biggest) problem. |

Christian, your metal work is absolutely beautiful and thank you so much for the excellent documentation which takes time and slows progress considerably. All your hard work add's to the future Barndoor repairs throughout the world. I look forward to your lessons every morning with my coffee. Happy Holidays and keep warm. _________________ American Red Cross Safe And Well:

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |
