Ok, thank you man! So i keep working on this one:

A lot of measurements later .......
-Weld the d-pillar back in place
-weld the c pillar back in place
-Build the inner frame for the roofgutter
-start the work on the seal channel above the cargo doors because later i am not able anymore to spotweld that.
(The bbt part are way off to far for me)

The seal channel above the cargodoor looks like more work then i expected...

I build a hammer form for the litle sills, difficult to take a measure from that old bent parts.

This sunday was a long one!!

I finally finished the sealchannel above the cargo doors and spotweld it to the gainguttter.
(You can see the compartment of the bbt part, my repro and the original)
After ablot of measurements and cargo doors in and out ~ 20 times i also weld the inner roofgutter reinforcement bach to it's place.

Put the outer skins from the cargo doors temporarily back tobplace to check the gaps again.

Not 100% but close enough for now!

So, now. Prost, and Mahlzeit.

Very impressive metalwork on those little indentations/notches in that seal channel. What a lucky Barndoor, for all the care and attention it gets.

Slowly continuing the work but needs a lot of power after some days of illness.

A lot of work goes to that nose panel, the curve in the upper area are way to flat, i had the same problems when i used them on my Sparsamba, but now i have the English wheel!

Also the radius od the wheel arch are not right ob that nos panel.

Put the sidewall on and off very often, same on the patches on the lower area to get everything where it should be!

I hope you enjoy that little steps seen in the pictures keep me busy the most of this day...

I go to the barndoor forums specifically to see what new update you have. You are moving very quickly. So impressive

At this speed, you will be driving it by Christmas Smile

That make me proud! Very Happy

Christmas is to cold and salty here but summer would be good, we will se what year Laughing

Today i delete the water drainage dimple on the nos part and add the holes for the cargo door hinge.

Tacked the panels in place, terrible soft metal in the huge panel...

A lot of checking and hammer dolly while welding.

Only a lot of boring straight welding today.
Need to hold the panel in place the most of the time while welding, long job.
Take care to not get big waves in it.

Hi, I'm here to watch also after SparSamba, what a job (again). You are a glutton for punishment! Great artistry..

On the long panel repair here, how are you welding the patch panel to that rusty metal? Hard to not burn through. Great job.

So intimidating, and so inspiring.

Makes me want to succeed in my own little way.

Thank you for sharing.

Thank you!

I do the welds as strong and much amps as possible, the problem is not the rust, the problem is the difference in the heat in the thicker compared to the thinner metal and the bending that gets there.

Some more work done on the sidewall, put it on the car on and off a hundred times for fitment, same story with the cargo door skins.

Before I finally can weld the sidewall in place i must do something with the roof to reach the dents, so i start to make some templates from my other splits and fabricate the first ever selfmade roofpanel for me.
