This car is new to a local museum and really stands out among the crowd that includes Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini and other cars like you see in the background.
I was told that this low miles car was found in storage and purchased.

Stunning car. Looks amazing.
On a side note: it isn't an Oval. _________________ a beetle is like a cocker spaniel, always funny but sometimes not listening |

Yea, I parked it in the wrong place; should be in split window 38 to 53 forum. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle & 1971 Karmann Ghia

I find it strange that the information board is mostly about the tatra lawsuit... _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

Generous on the hp value, but they short-changed the wheelbase by 1/2 inch (2400 mm = 94.5").
An incredible time-capsule! |

Yes, I wish they had better input before making this history board.
I had sent them a suggestion last year that they should have a vw show so maybe that had something to do with adding this car to their permanent collection. They rotate out different shows and I was hoping they would put together a theme show of all things VW. Current focus seems to be on performance cars, american car history and exotic sports cars.
This little vw draws as much attention as the exotic stuff. It hits closer to the heart for we folks that will never own a Lamborghini or Shelby Cobra. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle & 1971 Karmann Ghia
