I'm working on putting a set of phone dials on my bus. I would never ever chrome them.. I think that looks soooo ugly.

I actually like them on a German-look bug, but they look like crap on a bus. By the way, grammatically your poll makes no sense. Come to think of it, no poll makes sense.

JL's sc is the only one Ive seen I like them on. They realy look odd on a stock bus. Then again just my opinion.

I'm going for the all black look. I really don't like those rims any other way. Hopefully it will look right when I get it all done. I'm trying to sort how to fit them right now and what tire size to run. I'm not even sure if there going to fit.

I like them.

Again if done right. They are easy to paint and do not look bad in the stock silver paint. Chromed ones suck for some reason on VWs.

I used to run 15x7 52et Phones on my '66 before it was lowered with the 944 brakes. It looked okay I think. But the 15x7s were a PITA to change in the rear if they were 6 wide it would have worked out fine.

Right now I am running 16x6 Flats (man hole covers) which are a very nice fit on a lowered bus IMO. But I had hoped to polish them up... But again polished/chrome is not so good for a westi that has no other chrome on it. So I am thinking about going to 16x7 Phones and painting them white to match the bumpers - kinda stock look.

For the Oval I have a set of 15x6 Phones for the front and 16x8s for the rear ready to go. Again the Ovals curves seem to go with the curves in the Phones. Painted gloss black with a red line on the lips (GTI style).

FWIW I can bring a set (4) of 15x6s 52et Phones if anyone needs them. In good shape but could use a paint job. 2 tires are trash 2 tires are good. $150 takes em at Bulli Brigade. They are great for fronts on a Beetle or all around on a Bus lowered.

I like the wheels in general, but not on a split. Looks too modern.
