914, 1976 has the DPD air conditioning. Old York Mini AC compressor on engine. To install the compressor, top of engine sheet metal had to cut, as well as area under battery tray. Question; Both ICE in San Diego and Gilmore in Las Vegas have mounts for the newer Sanden type AC compressor on the side of the engine. Is there room for the Sanden compressor with out cutting sheet metal? Auto Atlanta no longer carries, 914 AC, Classic Auto Air was at one time making 914 AC, but have stopped. Need to replace the front trunk mounted condenser. Anyone replace the trunk mounted condenser with success? What works? Thank you for the time and information. mrvman

yes we would install the sanden compressor without cutting the tray and it also fit under the sheetmetal
