Bit of a random one, I'm putting a lower inner frame and outer lower skin on a late model door and don't have a reliable reference point for where the bottom edge of the door should be.
I'm just doing the welding and don't have another door or the car to reference, just the door.
Please could someone post the measurement from the swage line to the bottom outer edge of the door both at the front and the rear (assume the same).
Could the measurement be a straight, direct line across the door ends, not following the curve of the door skin, and if possible, in millimeters?
Thanks in advance.

Assumption is the mother of all stuff ups.
My doors are on the car (1968 and not sure what you mean by late model) so measuring in a straight line on the ends is problematic.
I reckon 605mm at the front and 620mm at the rear.
Hopefully someone else on here can also measure for you |

I measured a number of 68 and 70 doors in various states. The best and without damage was:
Rear = 616mm
Front = 610mm
Some doors were similar to yours being that they had no internal skin. I still got similar distances to within a 1-2mm. I was surprised that there was so much difference between the front and rear sides but all measurements showed this. _________________ 1968 1500 RHD Lotus White Beetle since birth.
