They're pretty rare in North America, but more common in Europe. Not sure of production numbers, though.
By the way, we like pictures _________________ 1988 Tintop Wolfsburg Special Edition - "Meatloaf"

| They aren't common but the panel vans are worth less than a passenger van. The vans with a partial bulkhead in the low roof or high high roof could be ordered from vw, they are usually just work vans. |

It so back door to post photos and always forget. Here she is. We call her Nacho. Nacho van.
IDC about it's value. Never get what you put in. We just always wonder about how rare she really is.
I can't find atm any photos with her open. She is a true cargo van with a full bullhead.
Three knob badassery.

A full bulkhead cargo layout is not as desirable in a recreation vehicle, but still pretty usable - and cool as far as being rare.
The double slider doors are also pretty rare and another nice feature.
Looks like it's in great shape!
Would love to see some interior photos. _________________ Currently:

| I didn't realize bulkhead panel Vanagons had the rear vents like the Bay and Split panels did. Thats pretty cool. |

So what I gather there is just no known resource to understand the amount produced? I really didn't care about value just want to know how truly rare she is. From what I gather it took the importer 4 years to find in Germany.

Certainly seems pretty rare!
While there may or not be official counts to determine such, I think a UK or German T3 enthusiast site might be able to give a feel such as "Never seen one before" or "Were commonly used by the utility company".
I'd be curious to know if it was my van, so I understand you wanting to know. If you find out - please update this thread. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

If anyone here’s done the production numbers research, it’s Kamzcab86.

That is called a double door panel van.
There are panel vans where there is no bulkhead so walking to the back is possible, I have seen a partition wall that goes floor to ceiling behind the driver/passenger but there is still a walkway to get to the back |

| It's grown in us too. The van is intended to be the show van for us to pack in and out. As we see it is the red van in a sea of white ones. |
