Going back to one of my previous posts, assuming it's legit, how common is a mango panel van?

I have never seen a mango commercial model. (it did sometimes show up on ghias and beetles) It is possible that it was repainted, or that it is one of the funky Australian colors. It was possible to get the factory in Germany to paint buses in special non-standard special order colors, but it is pretty rare. Buses could also be ordered in primer so they could be painted locally. Much more common than primer delivered was where a business would buy a random bus off the dealership lot, and paint their colors/logos over the original paint immediately before they put it into service. _________________ .

Coogee, New South Wales Australia.
Interesting, given the pressed bumpers, it also has semaphores and makes it a 58/59 only bus (bumpers and sem's til 5/59). I have heard of one or two mango only busses in Aus.
(originally 58/59 was mango "Mango" then a little later, maybe '60, "Beryl Green")

And truthfully, a great color for a panel van. Should have been one of the regular factory colors world wide. _________________ nothing |

Whoever designed that arrangment had no idea about perspective and optical illusions.
They've made them look like they have broken backs. _________________ Andy
