THANKS EVERETT!!!!
There are those of us who actually like this "bastard child" of the Aircooled VW world. And this forum will be a great way for us to exchange our ideas and help with problems that are typically found with these cars.
Once again, THANKS! _________________ 65 Bus, 72 Bus, 63 bus, 98 Golf, 92 Cabrio, 71 Fasty

Make it FIVE ! 67 T1 back for downed STF. Guess I'll be going by Panzerace 88 now, unless I can figure out how to change my screen name.
Anybody heard from Ray or Tuna? Or VWBill, or our friend from Milo, MO _________________ I keep myself confused on purpose, just in case I'm captured and fall into enemy hands.

I've sent an email to Tuna from his web.site.com
I also asked if he could post our new forum on his site.
Perhaps this will bring in new folks, like Bubblehead for example. I was hitting TheSamba long before STF.
If you are 411-412 enthusiast/owner, lets here from you. No need to lurk in the shadows. _________________ I keep myself confused on purpose, just in case I'm captured and fall into enemy hands.

Hey all, I'm here. I will be posting a link to this forum from my site this evening.
As for my official stance, I'm not giving up on STF. The STF 411/412 forum will still remain the "official" forum, at least until I get word that STF is no longer in existence. I was one of the founding people of that site many moons ago, and in fact I provided web hosting for a year or so after it out grew it's free web hosting.
So, let's get talking 411/412s!!

Good to see ya Tuna.
I agree about STF, there was a wealth of info already disseminated there. But it's great for the Samba to make room for us here.
I still feel that having this forum will enhance our membership. If we get STF back, its Win/Win.
I hate my screen-name here though, oh to be 67 T1 again. _________________ I keep myself confused on purpose, just in case I'm captured and fall into enemy hands.

Just another way for us to communicate. I will continue posting on both forums, if and when STF comes back. But with the publicity that the Samba does get, we can probably snag those 411/412 owners who know nothing of STF. _________________ 65 Bus, 72 Bus, 63 bus, 98 Golf, 92 Cabrio, 71 Fasty

You got that right. If there are 411/412 people around here, they've been hiding it well. I've been checking these forums regularly and hardly see a mention of the type 4.
If this describes you, then you don't have to be afraid anymore, it's O.K. to admit that you have a type 4. _________________ Type 1 - '68, '74
