We're replacing the front crank seal and checking end play. We have .027 with existing shims in place (Bently says .003-.006). We can't take up the space with only three shims as recommended, since the thickest we can buy are .015 each and ours are 12,12,13 now. Is there a bearing play check that needs to be done? Can you use more than three shims? What are we missing?
