Do a search on "gas heater" and you will get decent results.

1) I will give you my standard tip on the fuel pump. Take it out. Spray WD-40 or penetrating fluid into the inlet and the outlet. Hook it up to a 12 V battery. If it clicks and spits out fluid you are good to go. If not--try tapping it with a hammer (lightly) and keep spraying. Also try reversing the polarity.

2) The blower should come on as soon as you turn on the switch. Check fuses and the reset switch on the back. If you know how to operate a multimeter it is easy to check whether or not the entire unit is getting power. You could also jumper the switch to see if it is a problem.

3) Ark Mirvis-do a search in the forums

Hey 7thing3 and caspar: you can reach Ark at <[email protected]. The clicking (pumping) is determined by a set of points operating on the blower shaft. A simple 12 volts to the pump (out of the car) might produce a single click....but the pumping action is a function of the pulsing action of the point set at the shaft. ie: on, off,on,off etc. If you have the blower blowing, then the pump should click about every second (+/-). Now whether it is actually pumping is another issue. Ain't gas heaters fun????...and the British thought the German Enigma machine was difficult!!!! Very Happy
