It still hasn't cleared customs. When it clears customs it will say "item accepted into destination country"
Canada Post says ground delivery from the U.S.A takes minimum 6 weeks.
So Hotvw1, you need to retract your attack and appologize to Greg, he has shiped this thing to you twice, thats 1 time more then most people are willing to try. He shipped it, you can see this! Its not his fault that customs is holding it. While I agree that you shouldn't be out the money if you never recieved the goods, I think your finger is pointed at the wrong party. Maybe your adress is red flagged. When buying internationally you need to learn to expect these things.
I have bought a great deal of parts from the U.S.A and had them shipped into Canada. Sometimes you wait, sometimes you don't. I don't complain to the seller when the postal system is slow. If you wanted it so badly you should have ponied up and payed for Fed-Ex. IMO your being an asshole. Appologize / Retract, and I'm sure you will be forgiven.

I wasn't going to post anymore but those losers keep spouting shit (its like there all gay protecting there boyfriend or something) and I can't help but respond but I am not going to post on the Samba topic anymore (it has gotten out of hand) so don't expect a reply from me there. Oh and if it does arrive I will be sending it back as this has given me a bad taste and I have decided not to lower the van....Anyway let me know if you find anything out or if they show up back at your place.

I'll let him and everyone else know what I find out from customs sometime this week.
The number he gave me was a non working number too.
Go figure.....
For the record once I got a correct number for customs and gave them the tracking number they had no problem finding it and starting a trace on it |

I sent a T3 spare tire tray AIRMAIL to a guy in Canada earlier this year, and it took him over a month to get it- It was tied up by Canadian customs forever. Of course, HE was competent enough to know how to contact his own customs dept. so it wasn't a problem.
Don't expect Warehouse to have control over your customs and post service. OBVIOUSLY, he did his part, and your beef is NOT with him.

I think you're right.
It looks like the number he gave me is only good when dialed from Canada. That really helped.

Damn you would have thought Greg was a crook! This guy has been selling here for a while now. Doubt he'd ruin his selling rep trying to rip you off in Canada. The PO and Customs can fuck up shipping REAL quick. I had customs sit on a package for 2 months going to the US from the UK. Called them and they said they haven't seen it. Tracking # showed nothing. 2 months later the package shows up with a huge CUSTOMS sticker on it. Don't think for one bit someone didn't make a mistake in the Postal System just blame an honest seller on the Samba! _________________ Anthony

Mr Wherehouse did way more on his part to facilitate the customer (hotvw1) on where he parts may be. However it is not Greg's fault that Canadian customs take so long to inventory and release packages. So coming in here and threatening someone for something that is beyond their control should give you an "E" ticket straight off of this site.
You (hotvw1) should be a man and post your apology, then get the hell out of here. People like you do noting but bring the good people that try hard to earn a living down and you should not try to destroy someones reputation BEFORE you know all the facts. _________________ This is my 23rd year in the Auto Body/Paint Game!

Greg isn't going to rip you off for less than $100. He spends more than that on a booze cruise in Tempe _________________ The Original German Folks |

As I posted in the rants.
I AM SORRY GREG THAT I ASSUMED YOU HADN'T SENT THE ITEM
I still have not seen it but will definately send it back and I am sure you will know before me that it has been delivered(if it hasn't been sent back)
This has gone to far and many of you should look at what you have said and you are way worse that anything I said. |

I don't care what you "promise" this wouldn't have escalted to where it is now if you hadn't started in and I should have taken the bait and responded. I know you must enjoy trying to get people kicked off but watch out it might be you one day. I have been buying and selling for over ten years and never had a package held at customs so that is why I thought for sure I was getting ripped off. Yes I should have known not many people would ruin there rep for a $100. Anyway I have appologised and our conversation should be dead. |

|
|
It's been a couple of months since Greg did a front axle disc brake conversion on our old '60 bus with crows foot rims. We are still talking about how great the disc brakes are and how well spent that money was! Once we got our bus moving with all our camping crap, it used to take an act of congress to get it all stopped; the conversion has improved safety and comfort. Also, we really appreciate the breather box install while it was there, too. Greg has always been an up-front person, a fast shipper, and great to deal with, even with small transactions in the past. We've decided he's our hero! Thanks again, Greg! ~Shari and Mike, in Alameda, CA |
