We turned around on the BRP to check out this unmolested Opel GT.
This canary yellow dude pulled in when he saw us.
The dude in the yellow bus was a prong, though.
Just as many folk stopped to see the Opel as to see the buses.
We were caught there for an hour. Attention whoring at it's best. |

Urban dictionary definition eight; I had no idea of the other hip definitions.
The owner of the Opel GT and I looked at each other and said, "Sheesh, what an asshole", as he drove away. He informed us of everything we needed to know about Opel GTs and Splitties. Unfortunately, he'll never see this because he knows more than TheSamba.

Gts are sweet little cars. that little 1900cc motor will run forever if treated even reasonably well. I drove a Opel Ascona Station wagon (same engine) with over 200,000 miles up and down the coast in cali, no problem.

i have owned 4 opels.. 2 gts 1 manta and one wagon i turned into a truck.. I kinda like liked them.. they were all cool.. but gt of course was the coolest in looks.. the light make a huge CLUNK lol when you open them.. big ass handle you pull and it manually flips them over.. simple and they always worked unlike the electric ones that run around 1 eyed because one is broke.. lol |

Yepper, I Rocked a Opel Gt in the late '70's/earlies '80s:
Drove it from Ct. To Colorado in 1980, tried to trade it in on a sweeeet doublecab,  not, Drove it back east in '83, That ^^^^ pic is at my Cabin in N.Y., in '84 w/ the Wifes Bettle & my SC & 'Vert.....
