Not knowing anything about things, Will it accommodate the same gas cap as a beetle does??

If so, I purchased a locking gas cap from OE Vee, (http://www.oeveedub.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=oe&Product_Code=321-201-551H&Product_Count=&Category_Code=), it's also genuine VW stamped and on the box...

When installed and locked the top spins to prevents someone from getting at your filler....

Hope this helps...

The VW Thing was shipped and sold to the US automotive market in 73 and 74. There was an optional accessory offered in the form of an locking gas cap. Although they are not cheap, there are a number of folks who offer them for sale. Depending on what you are willing to pay for such an item, I can give you web sites or email addresses of folks who would be happy to sell you the item you desire. Pmail me if this idea is of any interest to you. K-mann

Oops. I just reread your post and realized that although I was trying to be helpful i did not answer your question. OE Vee Dub is located just a few miles down the road from where I live and its owner is a close friend and our kids go to school together. That said, I will tell you that the VW Thing shares a gas cap hook up pattern with a few different other air cooled cars. But, the 113 919 051F that you mentioned is the threaded cap used on certain 72 - 79 Bugs and it has nothing in common with a Thing gas cap. K-mann
