What's your favorite VW t-shirt that you proudly wear, or wish you had to wear?
I'll start:
Not my shirt, but about 6 or 7 years ago at Super Jam I saw a guy walking around wearing a shirt that had some 70s artwork and it said "Volkswagens Are People, Too." I thought it was funny as hell. _________________ Mike |

lately for me, it's been my blue samba shirt with lowered busses... i also like the one with bugs and ghias that i have...
used to be my VW logo with a gear around it that i picked up for like, $5 at Maple Grove one year...
My friend has a shirt for some clothing company with a Schwimm on it. i'm jealous.
oh, and i also just bought my friend the Crying Bus (RIP Jerry Garcia) t-shirt for christmas... i like that one a lot too. _________________ Some people are like slinkies; absolutely good for nothing, but it still brings a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs... |

I got one at the last Tulsa show, Ghetto Hillbilly. It's got a bus on the back parked in front of a COOP. _________________ (O\U|U/O) Top Vw (o\UU/o) |

I'm starting to get little wafts of bus stink coming from the north. Something about the unique scent of drivers seat padding when it's glued together with mouse piss and shit that really gets me going... and I'm smelling it! Oh yeah! Time to start loading up the equipment. |

When the guys did the "Return to the Fatherland" tour, they had a Tee shirt printed up for it. If you were lucky to catch them in the right mood, they would sell them when they stopped. I caught one in Lincoln, Ne when they stopped for the night. Its my favorite VW shirt. The tour consisted of all pre 57 VW's touring from Cali to Boston and then loading up in containers to be shipped to Germany for the big show over there. Trip of a lifetime in my eyes. _________________ My last fortune cookie said:

My favorite is about 10 years old now, one of the old West Coast Metric "baja madness" t-shirts with the orange baja screaming thru the desert on the back.

Mine is a simple tye dye with a VW emblem in the center. The guy who makes them uses an emblem off the front of a split bus to dye the emblem in. Plus he has the best method ever for dyeing, the colors are bright and never fade. I can still get them, although he is careful thanks to VWOA. One day, after a show, I was standing in front of a restaurant near home, and an old guy saw me wearing it and asked if I wanted to buy a pickup. An hour later, my friend had bought his red/white '62 single cab for an unbeatable price _________________ '69 Beetle, '69 Beetle Convertible |

My favorite is now in rags. It was a telefunken t-shirt with a split window bug that I picked up about 12 years ago at the Phx bug-o-rama. Haven't seen them in a long time now. Anyone know who makes them? |

From a few years ago...of course, my trusty old Search & Rescue shirt is about worn through, because I wear it on all the missions...
And yes, you can still get one of those handsome shirts...go to teamspatula.com and check out the t-shirt page... _________________ <---Air Cooled Search & Rescue Team - STICKERS & T-shirts for sale!
