This works pretty well for me:
Seriously though...I have a large metal disc that slides down over the steering wheel. There's a notch on either side that allows a 'Club' to be locked on. The metal disc prevents someone from cutting the steering wheel to remove the club. I'm sure if someone really wanted to cut it off, they could, but it would take some work. I finally bought an alarm a few weeks ago to install myself....a savings of about 70% off the 'sticker price'.

Thing Security Tip- never lock your doors. A new stereo is probably much less expensive than a new top & side curtains! |

Cross two of the plug wires and pull the rotor. Just make sure to always cross the same two wires! |

Very true, I found out the hard way with an old MGB I had. By the way out of sight out of mind, get a detachable faceplate radio. Also be smart about where you park your car, if you do not feel confortable by the area do not leave it there. |

I have a battery issolater switch under the back seat connected inline on the positive battery cable. On my offroad car that has an electric fuel pump there is a cut off switch under the dash. If you get past the battery issolater, then you start up and get about 50 yards before you run out of gas. Never lock a car with a convertible top and plastic side curtains. Buy locking door opening covers from Jack. Very cool security solution..;. Better yet move to the country and leave your keys in the ignition. K-mann |

Thats a good idea. Short of a tow truck it's going nowhere. |

Gene Berg Enterprises makes shifters that lock (keyed) the transmission in reverse. I have one of these and its quality stuff. You will love the GBE shifter. Prices on in the $300 range.
