I have a fiberglass buggy that has early vw type headlights and somewhat resembles a frog in the front. the rear has rounded fenders. would any one have an idea what it is? It is on a '59 pan so i imagine it is fairly early. |

There is millions out there... and about 5,000 different kit cars... you would have to be real specific and sometimes a we can't even tell by a picture. |

Rule of thumb is....if you don't know what it is, call it a Manx. That seems to be the popular thing to do anyway. Hell, since I was lying about it being a Manx anyway, I would take it a step further and say it was one of the first ones......hand made by Bruce himself. No, Addict is right, we at least need a picture, and even that is a real iffy situation. I had one for a little over five years before I found out where it came from. Here's the funny part, it was built only 10 miles from where I live now, but I bought the car in AZ. It found it's way back home, (sneaky bastard ). _________________ No more circus midget ...Vote for Herbie.

That kind of 'rule of thumb' will get my thumb in your eye. 'Manx envy' does sad things to people, doesn't it?
Pics would be helpful indeed; I've got a couple of good dune buggy reference books, and could probably help figure it out...or at least narrow it down. _________________ Organized people are just too lazy to look for stuff

I saw a buggie on this site that looked very similar in the rear of the car on this site. The car is an el lobo. Are there variations of the el lobo? |

Is the windshield glass flat? Is the bottom edge of the windshield frame straight across or curved across the hood? _________________ 67 I 1500

Any thoughts?
