I did a search and came up with a few helpful threads, but none of them really explained much. Where's the best place to mount a couple of gauges (oil temp, oil pressure)? I'm obviously not going to cut the dash to mount them. Don't really like the idea of making the air box useless by putting the gauges there either. Where have y'all put gauges? Remember, pictures are worth a 1000 words...

Are you planning on keeping them in the bus or just temporary? I've seen a nice custom panel that fit between the parcel tray and dash on the left. Also above the visor or on the pillar. I'm considering above the visor.

i put one of those chrome 2guage panels with double sided foam tape between my washer bottle and the speedo pod...

only problem was it didn't have enough upward angle for me to read it very easily (which basically was a blessing in disguise, since it was easier to ignore that way...when i wanted to know, i had to use my hand to angle it up and bend down abit to see it)...

but it looked nice enough and was easily removed with adhesive remover.

Probably get lynched by the purists but here's mine. Not hacked by me but I like it all the same with the period gauges.

here's mine, no screws or dash cutting involved. Just bend a piece of sheet metal up to fit & covered it.

Is that an interior light switch in the door jam?

crofty,
yea, they're not even close to each other. The guages curve with the dash & parcel tray. I think the door panel looks like it would get in the way because of how thick it looks, but it actually fits just like a stock panel. Very Happy

Andrew,
Yes, I had to add some modern day things like an interior light switch & windshield washer jets(squirters)

That switch makes this light under the tray light up when the doors open & the stock interior light still works manually.

Yeah---pictures! I wast thinking of fabricating a piece to screw under the fresh air vent acess panel using sligtly longer screws in the existing holes so no damage is done
