I have one that is cut open.. They are different, even the leading edges of the eipper airfoils are more blunt.
I feel this was due tot he 181 being designed for low speed operation and the fact that the airfoil needed a bit more of a bite against the air to get it's speed up, off the trailing edge for better velocity....
There are so many different ways that one can modify the shroud, the sad thing is unless you have a controlled environment and instruments or a data logger you never can see the results of the mods that are done. |

So... i think this has run it's course.
If there's nothing to add, i'd like to lock this and make it a sticky.
So unless you have something to add... i'll lock it in a few days and we'll have it for a referance.

very good folks! What makes a sticky?
I have two shrouds, maybe I'll cut the snorkels off of one, and weld in patches with the Raby 1.5 inch hole suggestion, and see how that goes. This has been very informative. thanks for sharing all!
