This bus is relatively expensive but look what you get.
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2715973
Everything is there and in almost new condition. The surface rust is nothing serious. If I were just starting out I would want an all original super low mileage bus like this.
Not only does it seem like a good investment it seems like a good bus just to preserve into the future for there are very few like this. I know it's a Big Window but '67 was the best of all the stuff for Big Windows. |

This is an amazing deal that I picked up today. Took 10 years but worth it. More pics and story to come. Everything appears to be there and in amazing condition.

Finally got a chance his morning to get everything out. So I have know this older couple for 15 years. For the last 10 years the wife told me that her parents had a 62 bus camper that they bought new. The bus was long gone, but she though she “ maybe had a toilet or something “ in her dads old basement. Well I forgot all about this as it hasn’t been discussed for last 8 years. They called me this
week and said she found the toilet along with the tent. I was blown away. I went over and bought it immediately. She is now looking for old pictures, as she swears she has some from them camping in early 60’s. They used the tent until 1965 then it went into her fathers basement until then. I think I have all of the pieces? Only 4 pieces of tent material so I don’t know if I am missing something? It is in amazing condition. Toilet looks like new. Tent looks almost new, no big stains, zero rips or tears.
Anyhow, great score, and always keep your ears open, things are still found.

Nothing negative to say about the tent (looks like a really nice one) or the seller, but is a $2800 foyer tent considered to be a smokin' deal in 2024?
What would a fair value be for a complete privy tent? |

Not sure one has sold in a while so tough to say. I think its probably an average deal since it hasn't sold yet. Then again, nothing is really selling these days. |

I dont know about Big Tops but i think Privy tents are $4k and above I edited my post; I meant to type privy tent, not big top.

| A few year ago I was curious about buying one of those legit crappers for my bus. Needless to say after 1 minute of research I bought a new and more modern one from Amazon for $50. There is no doubt that is a very cool accessory though. Just couldn’t rationale the investment. |

And now the curmudgeons will all chip in and tell you you're not keeping it real unless you're shitting in a bucket. |

NOS fuel taps:
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2744108
This ad is in the Bug section but some of these are Bus so I thought I would post a heads up as that's a fair price for NOS
It's around $92 in US $
Bus people probably know but just in case:
Bus have the square end where it rotates instead of the round connection

Someone got a ridiculous deal on this double cab, now we wager on when it shows back up in the classifieds for 20k!

Sounds rusty AF so if it does, I bet the new seller won't be as forthcoming |

| Hasn't been a deal that nice in a long time if ever. If I was just starting out I'd be all over that. All the '67 only stuff is intact. |
