Not to stray too far from the original topic but i have found some "rare" M-Codes, let me know if anyone has actually seen buses with these codes...
M697- Passenger Swiveling Seat
M765 & 766- Special Sales Campaign
Z01- Bad weather Package, Interval wiper facility, halogen fog lamps, rear fog lamp
Z05- M- package comprising: trip counter, clock, rubber on bumpers, vent wings in cab doors, back-up lights
Z21- Z01 & Z05
A bus with Z21 would be a rare bird indeed! |

haven't checked my M code plate but i assume that
M697- Passenger Swiveling Seat is in there since it's an original westy berlin fitting.
probably not marketed in afghanistan. |

I have 71-72 front bumper overiders (euro spec) and have found someone thru here who has a rear set and is in USA so would these different market bits count as rare too? The trip odometer is really cool. I have seen a bus with the timer for the heater wjhich came from Germany where many were sold to older folks for their retirement and these often had some great options on. I have never seen the plastic wind deflector on the sunroof pictured there. That looked really cool too. The racks/ladders you mention- do you have any broshure pics. If anyone wants me to check the swapmeet at the Volksworld show over here for anything please e-mail me a (short) list and contact details as I will be part picking early Saturday. There are usually a few traders from Europe there. I'm also looking for a really cool bus bus shifter I saw there last year that was as nice as the berg one but quite a bit cheaper.
I will post pics of every Bay I can find too! |

Quote: i've seen those locks once... but it was a VW shop owner's bus in downey, california...
I've seen that bus lock as well. I believe it was on the rear cargo hatch of a white '71 panel bus. I think it was at Bill & Steve's. that was one clean panel. 8) |

will-g wrote: The answer to that question is no, there was not a tachograph offered for Baywindows, however many have been made "to fit"
Other Rare Baywindow dash gauges are the trip-odometer
and the Gas heater control
(both pictures are from http://www.ratwell.com/technical/Tachograph.html)

Uhhh.....he's saying it would be RARE to hear someone say how much they love their GEX engine. Don't get all upset...just because you started the thread doesn't mean you own it. |
