Hi there

My friends, I had a 1974 Beetle Love bug model, it was a few models who shows the L65K Ravenna Green

http://www.sebeetles.com/lovebug.htm

or this

http://www.sebeetles.com/73_drei_kafer.htm

or that

http://www.sebeetles.com/komfort.htm

Look at http://www.glasurit.com/

They have the color, they works with VW, here in Chile they made this l65k

Good luck!

i just picked up a 1974 Volkswagen Colors brochure. it is pretty clear that Ravenna Green is not the same as Yosemite Yellow, that type 2's were not painted Ravenna Green, and that the deluxe Westfalia camper color was officially designated Yosemite Yellow.

hazetguy! that's the brochure we've been hoping to find! THANKS for sharing!

Funny though, how their Yosemite Yellow looks more like Sage Green (starting76). Yosemite Yellow has a florescent quality that doesn't translate to paper and monitor. That's great, though, how the brochure shows both colors, ending all doubt about which is which.

This was a mystery I hoped to solve since buying my Westfalia in 1982, but never thought I'd find the answer. When I started searching the net, most of the references said Ravenna Green, but I knew that could not be correct. Hooray, mystery solved!

Yosemite Yellow... YOSEMITE YELLOW... YOSEMITE YELLOW!!!!

Ravenna Green looks pretty bad ass ... even though it isn't OG ... I'm looking at a Yosimite Yellow (whach I previously believed to be Bali Green) and I think maybe the Ravenna Green might be the way to go!!!

old thread eh? lol.. I wish it was around 1990 when I went thru this the first time.
I have a 74 with paint Mcode 9648 ..
http://www.globalserve.net/~jrivers/jr/pictures/74westfalia-watermelon/74westy-paint.htm

it was painted 20+yrs ago.. and I am pretty sure it was L62H Yosemite yellow
close, but not a match to the interior... which has a green tinge beside that yosemite yellow.
recently, it was painted L65K Ravenna Green... as this thread states,, is not the right color.
The paint color is nice.. but the quality is a problem,,

I am debating one,,fixing the Ravenna green paint job,,, [probably not]

two,,, paint it entirely again... sand, and correct problems ,, entire paint done right ,,

the question is L62H.... or L11C .......

I don't see the L11C anywhere in my search... I really like the L65K, sigh, but it isn't the color for this bus...

I'd like to see an L11C Bright Yellow to compare to the L62H Bali/Yosemite yellow

hello, this may already be old however after doing considerable research several years ago regarding the paint for my 1975 Westfalia camper, and luckily i have some german background, i discovered directly from Germany VW that certain 1975 campers had the ravenna green which was donated to VW by Porshe as surplus paint for that year. Also noteworthy is that the exterior and interior colors are not the same as the interior is the yellow mentioned.

My camper is OG ravenna green say's so on the m-plate. I thought it was on deluxe camp mobiles only between 74 @ 75 :-k . Had anyone though it might of been a experiment that vw and westfila did with the colors and interior?

Proof please. Not that I dont belive its possible but a pic of your code plate speaks volumes.

As well as the other guy about the Porsche paint surplus- please prove a little more backing. Very interesting indeed.

Every 74-75 Ive seen follows the VW sheet Hazet posted.
