I will keep it from getting worse, but I currently am putting all my energy and money in making my 63 beetle better. Still this crusty bus will in some way be an adventure, it will look cool in my yard. I don't plan on cutting it up. And it has some serious rust in door pillars, but that drivers side panel has no dents. The roof was perfect, but all along the gutter its seriously rust through. The motor will be checked out it was taken out and left inside covered.. so its rodent city in the tin. Hopefully the case and important stuff didn't get corroded badly. Not expecting much, but it turns. Supposedly was freshly rebuilt before retirement.. but then why retired?

If interested I will post more photos, especially when it's rolling and that red paint is off the original paint.

It's going make me wish for a road worthy van even more now.

Maybe it went to Woodstock.

^^

Congrats on the new bus. Hope you can find some dry storage until you can get to it. If it has fiberglass in there I would punting it all as it very adept at holding moisture and ultimate causing rust.

Anyone else been wondering what the find on page 1000 will be?

I'm praying page 1000 is a big one but I feel realistically nowadays it's gonna be a roached out standard lol

Found this one tucked away since 1989. Had 3-4 layers of paint on it with some awesome logos underneath. If anyone has a pearl white church key decklid or apron let me know!

Dug it out of Trapper Creek Alaska. Property owner thought it had been there since the 70's. Saved it so a friend could have the cab section.
