If this bus wasn't "shotgunned", what caused the peppered look? :?
I think it’s just northwest mold

Pulled these busses from the red river gorge in Kentucky last weekend, deep in the holler as I’ve ever been. Creek crossing to get to them was a bonus, fun times even with the rain! My little Toyota did just fine flat towing the Deluxe, took about 14 hours to get home slow and steady

Awesome trip! I haven’t flat towed a VW long distance for a long time. Got pics of pulling the 11 window?

Nice paint of those fat hatches! Titian red deluxe?

Good to see a couple more buses heading home to NC.

Thanks y’all! It was a great time, both are 66s and mostly OG paint. The Deluxe is pretty rough, the sea blue shouldn’t take much to see the road again

Flat towing definitely wasn’t the best option for this thing but it’s what I had to do to get it home, no excuses! Greased the front end and topped off the gear oil, center pin and tie rods were smoked so some bumps and tight curves through the mountains caused some front end shakes that made me slow down to 30.. Then back to 55 the whole way home, long day.. Hope to do it again!

Pics as requested

Can’t say I didn’t warn them!

Threw a flood light in there when it got dark

Not often do logo'd pressed bumper panels turn up anymore but I was able to score this '58 today. Has been off the road since about 1966!

Edit- after checking vin this is actually a may 1957 built bus
