That's good news since my wife and I are going to St. Ignace in about a month. Here in north central Illinois we're still getting ripped off at $4.30-$4.50 per gallon. In addition, the roads are so bad it's like driving in the Rally of the Acropolis.

$3.80 Long Island north shore

Rumors have it that the car thieves in this area are now leaving the cars and just taking the gas. It's worth more, it's harder to trace and easier to sell...

Yup! I kid you not! Reach under with a cordless drill and a drain pan! The cops posted pictures yesterday!

Believe it or not, I just got a message from my daughter now. She was on her way to work following a lady and she saw a trail of liquid on the road and smelled gas. She stopped her and told her she had a leak. They looked under the car and there was a hole drilled in the tank! The lady had just filled up because the gauge was on empty when she started it this morning!

Maybe that's why I leave my tank close to empty to begin with...

Yes, this crap is on he news here, too. It can be thousands of dollars to fix the hole.

Plastic tanks make this silent and easy.

If I lived in the city's where this happens ,I'd make a some sort of 'Bed of Nails" for them to lye on as they scoot under the vehicle :twisted or Dog Poop,,something atleast

One of those classics where a dealer calls for a new tank, while a DIY can patch the reinforced abs tank forv$8.99 with stuff from the WaWa , where gas is $4.13

March 7th 2022 I posted.

Xevin wrote: 76 station near Oakland, CA airport.

$5.10 reg, $5.30 mid, $5.50 premium, and $5.50 diesel

I took a Prius rental car 104 miles round trip to see mom.

It was $5.36 to fill up when I got back to airport

Today. Same trip, same gas station, and different car. Avis only had a stupid Toyota Tacoma double cab TRD edition and other full size car to rent for my “Economy car” All the cars in the various lots were larger cars.

$5.79 reg
$5.99 mid
$6.19 premium
$6.59 diesel

5.35 gals $31.89 to top off rental to return #-o ](*,)

It’s Spring break and rental cars are stupid expensive right know. The clerk did bring the rental car price down because it wasn’t an economy car

Long Island, where nothing is cheap.

Abscate Sat Apr 09, 2022 5:02 pm

I’m paying more upstate than on the North Shore.

I was driving west and passed a higher income neighborhood and the price was $4.25.9. Going further west though a low income area the price was $4.19.9.

This was all within 5 miles on the same road.

You'd think they'd charge more to drive the truck up the hill.

Exact same price as rural Minnesota. Strange.
