1967 volkswagen karmen ghia Price: 6000
Have I been spelling it wrong all this time?
Ad states:
"Pretty solid ghia project
pulled out and ready for the next owner"
"Condition: Fair"

Yep spelling isn't his forté, it is Carmen of course. He also might like to revise the condition rating...it's definitely not a driver. |

The patina looks great but it would be a big project.

Way overpriced.
No one is buying project cars anymore, which is likely how he ended up with it and why he’s selling it. It’s pretty solid, yet still has the usual rust that is difficult and expensive to repair right. The car needs absolutely everything and lowlight interiors are crazy expensive to do right.
My guess is it would sell all day long at around $10k tops. Just aren’t that many people or shops anymore that can do the work. |

I guess you're right. When I think about it, I would rather buy a $60k restored car than a $100k+ restoration. |

Well, that's optimism!!
I would hope to have it's original engine for that price? But then maybe it's a mistake - one too many zeros ? |

Yep he's been telling his wife it's a $100k car waiting for restoration and it will only cost him $12k to complete it. |

I paid more than that to have my bumpers re-chromed.
They did take them all the way to bare steel and fixed a couple small rust holes
and triple plated them though. |

I wonder if the vender has gambling debits to deal with. A possible downside of life in Las Vegas.

I bought these floor pans directly from Volkstorybkk for around $800.
Airkewld is now flipping the same pans for the low low price of $2,349.99!
