I found info on them, and then totally forgot what and where. But I still have them. |

I have recently purchased these wheels which I believe to be rare they have no real markings, make etc on them but they are Porsche pcd 5 x 130 and 15 inch diameter they are very light and a two piece construction, hey came to the uk on a car imported from the USA and look fairly old! I would be grateful for any information on what they are how rare they are? many thanks!

One has the center broken and the other is in nice useable condition with the ORIGINAL CAP  Thanks again SHORTY
Johnny I got a mint 15x7 that has the center knocked out just like yours! What happened?!?! Wrong lugs and over torques them??
These wheels were mainly used on buggies back in the day and they got rode hard like a 2 bit whore
the centers will break out like that if you try to mount them on a bus.
These weren't mounted on a bus they were mounted on a buggy and these were the front's. The casting on these wheel's are thin and when you take a quick turn on a bumpy road/course the center's would give out and break. On the edge of the center near the barrel you can see where it's pushed out and the opposite side pushed in and that's why the center on this wheel broke.
I always thought the centers got broken out by those older tire mounting machines that hold the wheel down in the center. |

I've found a weld racing "look like" wheels that are fake 2 pieces steel and chrome. There are no indication stamped on the wheels so does somebody out there could help me to identify these ?
I'm also looking for some info about the real weld racing wide 5 alu and 2 pieces tha look like this, probably made in the 90's. |

Sorry to high-jack this threat, but may be one of you rim collector experts might by chance have a brochure or leavlet or anything in written about Calparts Rim, San Jose, California?
I have prepared a set to run on my buggy, and I would like to try get it registered on my car. For that I need any kind / Type of information.
Thank you for your help or referring me further to somebody who might be able to get me what I am looking for...

| PLEASE HELP!!!!! so far this must be rarest wheel ever..... I have a 14'' x 7" 5x205, 3-4 neg offset steel wheel appears to be late 50s early 60s, no clips or removed rivets for hubcaps, smoothie. I have been a fabricator for 40 years and this is not some funky thing someone made .I found it on abandoned property with other VW parts, and it has a steel valve stem,[not that that really matters]. I am building a Baja and now i am obsessed with finding another one and maybe even a pair of 4 or 5'' for the front. what really gets me is the OE style with no hubcap mounts, Thanks and good luck to me PLEASE HELP!!!!! |
