Ok I have what I would consider to be a good knowledge of all things performance. However I have only been into air cooled for a few years now and Im still learning so please humor my ignorance.
1. What is meant by gusseted. ie gusseted case.
2. What is meant by shuffle pinned.
3. for applications where 200hp is expected is it necesary to use a one piece chromoly main shaft in the tranny? How bout a rhino case is it worth the money?
4. I have a new T04 garret brand new but for a desil motor, can I use it on a 1915cc? Iwant 15LBS at 3000RPM. Will the trim be ok?
5. Last question I promis, is a super diff like possi, limmited slip or what? What do I need as far as a third member to get equal hook with 200 flywheel ponys?
Iknow alot of ?? unfortunatly Im not around to many nice folks willing to spend there ohh so valuble time awnsering my simple minded questions. Thanks |

well i guess im gonna have to retype this since my comp is a piece of shit, well a gusseted case is welded in spots to add strenght, shuffle pinned is something done to the case to keep the halfs from moving in higher rpms, and a super diff just has extra spider gears on it and is not like a posi or limited slip. i am still fairly new to vw's so hopefully i answered correctly and actually made some since. jason |
