That was the START of it all! :lol:

That's the "4th-gear-turned-into-neutral" on my way to Havafew. While the new transaxle was being built, went to get some CV joint boots in the Bug and it broke the crank on the way home! The new transaxle was sofa king good, it broke the crank on the Dormy half way home from Havafew. After towing it 100 miles and left at a friends house, went later to pick it up with a spare motor. The Plump Truck barely made it up the hill all the while taking parts from the spare motor to throw into the truck! On the way down from the hill, the Dormy barely made it home but the Plump Truck had to be towed too! All this inside of a week's time and my birthday weekend to boot! Happy forkin birthday! :?

Finally had a chance to get out to the garage and work on the single cab. I installed the new hoses, cylinders, shoes and hardware on the front.

I guess I'll go for this end next...

Started tacking in the right rear corner, then test-fit the bumper and rear apron for good measure.

Loaded up the boy (Anthony Jr) and took the bus to Harbor Freight and Lowes to do some shopping. Heard a moaning sound when turning :shock:
Checked the front wheel bearings when I got home. Left side spun fine, right side was a little loose. Pulled the hubcap, dust cap, and outer bearing. Repacked outer bearing, but noticed that the cage was a little rough from being loose. :(
So the bus was parked and I'll replace the passenger side front bearing this week before OCTO. I'll have to double check the condition of the driver's side bearings.

thom glad to see you posting a update on this bus, been wondering how its been going havn't seen any updates in this thread in a little while.

Yep. Bend-pak portable midrise lift. One of the best investiments I have made.

Yes he does crap in the bus, but it is confined in his stall. The stall slides in and out of the bus.

I don't do a trailer because I don't like pulling them. I can't back them up worth a darn. This was the best solution to transporting him. Really, the poo smell only last as long as it takes to get the bus moving so it's not bad. I clean it out after every trip so you can't smell poo. If I were to take the stall out, you would never know I hauled a mini in it!

I got my bus back on three wheels today?

I bought this Dolly on eBay months ago and couldn't install it as the stock bolts were too short so I bought some 20mm longer bolts. they have no shoulder bit are fine for a dolly. I am in the middle of fixing my axle tube and need to move my bus out to clean up the flood damage from the rains. a bus on a single wheel dolly is very unsettling

I ran into some trouble with the tranny on the blue bus that I'm getting ready to go to FL in two weeks, so I cut my loses and pulled the motor out I had just installed in it, pulled the motor out of the white bus as well and put the good motor in the white bus, that one only needed a motor and some brake work, only thing is, all this work is being done outside, last night was about 15 degrees when I was done wrenching at 10 pm

also swapped the alternator to the generator so I didnt have to rewire anything on the white bus, I'll bring the alternator as a spare and rewire the bus on the side of I-95 when the time comes

moving big parts in the cold is easy, the fun part starts tonigh when I start digging into the brakes.
