JE's might be the best pistons on the planet. No reason to think that their type 4 piston isn't as good.Maybe Jake can chime in about them....as for Keith Black, I didn't even know they were still around.lol.He did build some extrodinary hemi Dodges in the day, though |

KB's can still be found for Corvairs, so I assume they are still around. |

THE JE PISTON IS FORGED. THE KB IS CAST. JAKE SELLS BOTH FOR T4. THE KB IS USED IN THE SMALLER 96MM SIZE USING STOCK GERMAN CYLINDERS BORED OUT (IN BOTH STOCK STOKE AND STROKER SIZE). THOUGH THEY ARE CAST, I HAVE HEARD VERY GOOD REPORTS AND THEY BUILD A LOT OF MOTORS USING THEM. THE JE IS USED ON THE BIG MOTORS 102MM +. USUALLY WITH NICKIES ALUM/NIKASIL CYLINDERS, THOUGH I HAVE USED CAST IRON CYLINDERS (READ CHINESE-LESS QUALITY, LESS LIFE, MUCH CHEAPER) LIKE WITH MOST THINGS, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...HOPE THAT HELPS... |
